McCARTY Katharine A. “Kathie” of Newton, passed away on December 13, 2020. Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Katharine (Hartigan) McCarty. Devoted sister of the late Ned McCarty, Mary Stevens, and Peter McCarty. She is also survived by dozens of loving nieces and nephews. She was known as THE GREAT AUNT.
A graveside service will be held at Holyhood Cemetery 584 Heath St. Brookline on Wednesday, December 16th at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends kindly invited, please wear masks. A celebration of Kathie’s life will be held on Cape Cod next summer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathie’s memory to Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston 240 Commercial Avenue, 4th Floor Boston, MA 02109.
