Graveside services for Jack Ireland, 93, of Locust Grove, GA will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 2, 2020 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, Ashburn, GA. Social distancing guideline will be strictly enforced and masks will be required. Mr. Ireland passed away Friday, October 30, at his residence after an extended illness.
The son of the late Carl Andrew Ireland and Orie Lilly Rutledge Ireland, he was born in Turner County, GA. Mr. Ireland was a retired Maintenance Supervisor at Seabrook Blanching Company. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where he served as deacon. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Frankie Wiggins and a brother, Joe Ireland. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Lumpkin Ireland; two sons, Carl (Lynn) Ireland, Locust Grove, GA; Greg Ireland, McDonough, GA; one brother, Eddie M. Ireland, Ashburn, GA; one sister, Hortense Burdett, Sycamore, GA; six grandchildren, Katie Ireland; Rebecca (Andy) Benefield; Jacqueline (Chris) Mercer; Jason Ireland; Susan (Ben) Freeman; Lance (Bethany) Ireland and nine great-grandchildren. | ||||
