SAINT RAPHAEL, P.Q., CANADA – Therese M. (Guillemette) Theberge, 94, of Saint Raphael de Bellechasse, Province of Quebec, Canada, was Called Safely Home on Friday, October 23, 2020. She was born in Saint Raphael, Canada on May 16, 1926 and lived there until moving to Springfield in 1957. She lived in Springfield for 20 years and later in Chicopee for 10 years before moving back to Canada in 1987. She previously worked at the former F. W. Sickles Company in Chicopee which later became Jerod’s Electronics. She was a communicant of the former Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Springfield and later a communicant of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she was always ready for a good game of cards with her family and many friends and especially loved playing Bocce. She was a wonderful homemaker to her family, loved cooking delicious meals, and baking wonderful cakes and pies. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Maurice J. Theberge and her seven brothers and sisters, all in Canada. She leaves her two loving daughters, Nicole Gendron and her husband, Marcel, of Westfield and Denise Thomas and her husband, Michael, of Agawam; her loving son, Rene Theberge and his wife, Marcia (Howell) Theberge, of East Longmeadow; her seven cherished grandchildren; her eight cherished great-grandchildren; her two dear brothers-in-law, Raymond Theberge of Chicopee and Jean-Paul Theberge of Montreal, P.Q., Canada; her dear sister-in-law, Juliette Theberge of Toronto, Canada; and many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members in the United States and Canada. Her funeral and burial will be held at a later date in Saint Raphael de Bellechasse, P.Q., Canada. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
