Dawari Datubo Dan-Harry, age 68, of Providence, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020. He was the husband of Rachel K. (Ordu) Dan-Harry.
He was born in Opobo, Nigeria on October 16, 1952 to Bala Fama Dan-Harry and Oroni (Uchendu) Dan-Harry.
Dawari grew up and was educated in Nigeria. In 1978 he moved to the United States and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Boston University.
Mr. Dan-harry was a self-employed Electrical Engineer and had also worked for General Electric. He had resided in Providence for over fifteen years and previously lived in Boston for many years.
Dawari loved spending time with his children. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed discussing politics.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children: Dawari Mark Dan-Harry, Sofiri William Dan-Harry and Oroni Isabel Dan-Harry.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, November 14th at 12:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
