Ersilia Ruocchio

Ersilia Ruocchio (Bosso) passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Stoughton, where she was lovingly cared for. She was 98.

Born and raised in Arpaise, Benevento, Italy she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Carolina (Supino) Bosso. Ersilia came to the United States with her two children, joining her husband who travelled here first and lived in Medford for many years before moving to Revere for nearly 40 years. In recent years she lived in Stoughton. She enjoyed a long career as a seamstress with the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union at Davis Clothing Co. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who looked forward to being with her family and friends. Ersilia enjoyed cooking and keeping her home as well as paying an occasional visit to the slot machines. Ersilia was a loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

The beloved wife of the late Enrico C. Ruocchio who died in 1991, Ersilia was a devoted mother to Salvatore Ruocchio and his wife Donna of Medford, and Antonietta “Toni” Frontino and her husband Domenico of Stoughton. She was a loving grandmother to Salvatore of Tewksbury, Stephen of Andover, Kevin and his wife Katelin of Stoughton, Christopher of Medford, and the late Domenique. Ersilia also leaves her loving great-grandchildren Mikayla, Jake and Tristan.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit at Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Thursday October 22 from 5 - 8 PM and again on Friday morning at 10, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
