SPRINGFIELD – Mary (Radewick) Kabb, 95, a longtime resident of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, 2020. She passed into Eternal Life at her home in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on April 26, 1925, a beloved daughter of the late Alexander and Aksenia (Kozoil) Rodziewicz. She was raised in Springfield, graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield and was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She was employed as a clerk for the City of Springfield Election Commission. She was an active parishioner and financial secretary for over 40 years at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, John Kabb, who was Called Home on May 6, 2013. They were married on June 17, 1950 at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Springfield and were blessed with over 62 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Tina M. Diaduk and her husband, William, of Lexington Park, MD; her cherished grandson, Nicholas J. "Nick" Diaduk and his wife, Laura, of Dameron, MD; her beloved friend and caregiver, Karen Patruski of Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her three loving sisters, Helen Radewick who was Called Home on August 27, 2020, Anna Savas and Olga Penna; her dear brother, Alexander Radewick, Jr.; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. Mary will Lie in Repose on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. which will be followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 118 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. The parking lot is located behind the Church on Grosvenor Street, (please note that masks are required, social distancing must be observed and Church capacity is limited due to state regulations). Her burial will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA 01109.
