Steven G. Hill, Jr., age 76, of Bourne and Auburndale, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Orchard View Manor in East Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Barrett) Hill, to whom he was married for forty-nine years on Saturday September 12, 2020.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on December 1, 1943, he was a loving son of the late Steven G., Sr. and Regina (McLaughlin) Hill.

Steve grew up and was educated in Brooklyn. At age eighteen, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army stationed in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Hill worked as a field service manager for Checkpoint Systems and was previously employed for Xerox. He enjoyed summers on Cape Cod, wintering in Florida and was a former forty years resident of Sharon.

A man of true patriotism, Mr. Hill was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, the DAV, the AMVETS and also the Foxboro Knights of Columbus. He truly loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and fellow veteran’s alike.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted daughters: Regina M. Hill and her companion Bill Gagan of Attleboro and Shannon M. Pytlik and her husband Steve of Wallingford, Vermont. He was the cherished grandfather of Kevin Mutascio, Keira Bailey, Toby Pytlik and Jayden Pytlik. He was the dear brother of the late Buddy, James and Joan and is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.

Services, along with burial with military honors at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon will be held privately at the convenience of his family and visiting hours have been omitted.
