John J. Previti, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday. He was 39.

A life-long Medford resident, John graduated from Medford High School with the class of 1999 and Suffolk University with the class of 2003, where he earned his degree in sociology. He later began working as a security officer with the university. John was a graduate of the 16th Massachusetts Special State Police Officer Academy on July 22nd, 2005. He then began his service as a Suffolk University Police Officer, reaching the rank of Sergeant in 2008. John was honored in 2018 by the Massachusetts Campus Law Enforcement Administrators with the Outstanding Personal Contribution Award. John was a devoted husband, son, brother and friend. He was a great guy who loved to laugh and joke-around. He was a proud uncle who loved being with his nieces and nephew. He and his wife Jen were married in August of 2013. Together, they loved regularly travelling to Aruba.

The beloved husband of Jennifer (Stodulski) Previti, John was the cherished son of John Previti and his wife Sharon (Crescenzo) and Marlene Previti English (Boback) and her late husband Tom. He was a dear son-in-law to Loreen Adams and her husband Chris Chastaien and a devoted brother of Michael Previti and his wife Brandy and the late Anthony Previti. He was a dear step-brother to John, Marc and Danny English and a dear brother-in-law to Christopher Stodulski and his wife Sara, and Nicholas and Daniel Stodulski. He was a proud and loving uncle of Cadence and Kendall Previti, and Makayla and Tyler Stodulski.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Friday, July 24th from 3 – 7 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford and to gather for the funeral procession Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Social distancing protocols will be followed.
