Age 89 of Maplewood. Passed away on July 12, 2020. Preceded in death by wife of 53 years, Betty A. Voss (nee Larson); second wife, Maureen D. Voss (nee Boland); son, Michael; mother-in-law, Julia Boland; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Larson, Julie Larson, Audrey and Robert Sanft, Gerald Matejka. Survived by his daughter, Sandra; grandson, David; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernie Larson, Raymond Larson, Susan (Richard) Foreman, Carole Matejka, Robert (Carolyn) Boland, Ronald (Carolyn) Boland, Mary Ann Boland; many nieces and nephews. Born in Winona, MN on September 24, 1930. Graduated from Winona Sr. High School, 1st Lieutenant Civil Air Patrol, Korean War Veteran – US Army, 1948-1953, honorable discharge as a Master Sergeant. Retired from N.W. Bell Telephone Co. as a central office engineering manager with 34 years of service. Employed for five years by L.M. Ericsson, Stockholm, Sweden as an engineering consultant, lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers of America, member of 1971 Vulcan Krewe, past president Imperial Order of Fire and Brimstone, 50 year Club Dunwoody Institute, Member of American Legion Post #39 North St. Paul, life member of Disabled American Veterans and Arlington Hills Lutheran Church. Funeral Service 11 AM Monday, July 20, 2020 at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. 7th Avenue, North St. Paul with visitation from 4-7 PM on Sunday, as well as one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment Union Cemetery, Maplewood. Memorials preferred to North St. Paul American Legion Post #39, directed to veterans in need. The family of Harry Voss would like to thank the staff at HealthEast Hospice for the loving care they provided.
