Mary M. “Peggy” Waters (Russo) of Canton passed away July 13th. Born in Boston, she was raised in Readville and graduated from Hyde Park High. She went on to receive her Nursing Degree from Brigham & Women’s Hospital School of Nursing. Peggy worked as a registered Nurse for many years and most recently at the Mattapan Community Health Center. She was an active member of the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Canton, loved Cape Cod and all sports, especially the Patriots. She was extremely devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Beloved wife of John E. Waters. Mother of Joseph P. Waters, Robert M. Waters and Glynnis Grieco-Waters and her wife Melissa of Canton. Grandmother of Clark and Ruby Grieco-Waters. Sister of Frances Russo of Iowa, Ralph Russo of N.H., Christine O’Holleran of Hyde Park, Patricia Federico of Roslindale, Joseph Russo of Stoneham, and Katherine Egersheim of Readville. Funeral services were private for the family and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
