Obituary

Tom passed away on June 27, 2020 from complications of Parkinson's and Covid-19. Tom was known as the Singing Brick Layer. He is survived by his loving wife, Irene Williams.
Tom was born in Cornwall, England. He was one of 4 children, two brothers, Gordon & Garfield, and baby sister, May. They were a farming family. At age 14, he had to leave school to work on the farm for the World War II effort; he also went to trade school to learn the building trade. At age 18, he spent 2 years in the British Army. He later married Irene whom he met during the war. Irene was 9 when she was sent to the country due to the bombing in London. Irene was fostered with Tom's aunt and uncle. This 9 y/o girl said she was going to marry him when she grew up. Tom was 14 at the time; he told her to come back when she was 20...she did. They were married 67 years.
Tom never wanted to work on the farm. Tom always said he was going to live in America. In 1959, Irene and their 5 y/o daughter, Linda, immigrated to America. They lived in Long Island, NY where they had another daughter, Debbie. They moved many more times, meeting many wonderful people.. Finally, they settled in Ventura, CA. They lost their daughter, Linda, at age 48 due to cancer. Daughter Debbie married Burt Yanez; they have two children, Cameron and Melissa, two great grandchildren, Phoebe and Victoria.
Tom loved to sing, golf, hunt, and fish. He loved the Lord. He loved life.
