ASHMAN, Robert F. Of Dedham, born 7/14/32 passed away on 5/17/2020. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Ashman and the late Elaine Ashman. He is survived by extended family including great-grandchildren and friends who became family, Marianne Tuohy and Mark Hoeffler.
A long-time resident of Dedham, he served as the American Legion Post Commander from 1994-1995. As an accountant and banker, he served on various Dedham Town committees. As a veteran of the Korean War, USAF, he was among the first American veterans to march in the WWII Victory Day Parade in Russia. He loved the Pats, the Red Sox, a good Manhattan, and the camaraderie of his fellow veterans and friends.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham on Friday, May 22.
