Obituary

Marthe Yvonne Marc February 15, 1936, Marthe Yvonne Paul was born in Laboule, Haïti. She was the first child of her proud parents: Soimilus Paul and Fleurisma Paul, who provided a loving home and devoted family life for Yvonne and her younger brother and sisters. Yvonne was raised as a catholic, and attended “L'école Notre Dame du Perpetual Secours” in Port-au-Prince Haïti for several years.

Yvonne found and married her soul mate, Jean Abner Marc, early in
life, and they became husband and wife on January 8, 1955. Abner and
Yvonne were blessed with four children: Wesner, Marie Austa, Marthe
Yvanie, and Marie Françoise. Yvonne was a devoted mother who made
her children's well being a high priority. She was a loving wife to her
husband, and a caring and warmhearted woman to family and friends.

Yvonne earned a living as a tailor (couturière), and designed custom clothes for her customers in the surrounding community. She also made clothes for her children and other family members. She was very talented and her customers were always pleased with her work. She was a hard worker, and taught her children to work hard and to save and spend money wisely.

Yvonne was generous and cared about people. She gladly opened her home for members of her extended family, whether they needed a place to stay temporarily, or for a prolonged period of time.

On May 9, 2020 at Faulkner Hospital in Boston MA, Marthe Yvonne Marc went to sleep to await the coming of her savior to take her home. Her older half-brother Marcel Paul and her parents Soimilus and Fleurisma Paul prededed her in passing. She leaves a legacy of love and precious memories with: her Husband Jean Abner Marc (Boss Ab), children: Marie Austa Guerrier and her husband Wilner Guerrier, Marthe Yvanie Marc-Coleman and her husband Walter Ray Coleman, Marie Françoise Marc; Grandchildren: Ketsia-Laure Marc, Ab-Stanley Marc, Werens Endy Marc (Frero), Nasthasia Guerrier, Stephanie Khadijah Guerrier, Jovan Carlton Toussaint, Lisha Coleman, Aaron Bradley Coleman; Brother Richard Paul and Sisters Dalila Jean Pierre, Marie Lourdes Moncoeur and a host of nieces and nephews, other relative and friends.

Visiting hour at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Friday, May 22nd from 9-10am. Followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 10am. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain.
