Jeanne Flora (Godin) Fiore, 85, of The Villages, Florida, died Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Cornerstone Hospice in Florida. She was the widow of Michael R. Fiore, Sr. Born in Providence, RI, she was daughter of the late Francis Xavier and Attla (Dandaneau) Godin.
She lived in The Villages in Florida for the past 15 years, moving there after retiring from the EPA Laboratory in Narraganset, RI, a position that she loved. Prior to that, she spent many years in her beloved mountain home in Gilford, New Hampshire. Smithfield was her hometown, where she worked for the Smithfield School Department and raised her family of 6 children.
Throughout her life she enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach in Narragansett and skiing in the New Hampshire mountains. She embraced retirement living at The Villages playing golf whenever possible, enjoying bridge and other game events with the ladies and relaxing with her many needlework projects.
She is survived by her children: Joyce Johns of North Smithfield, R.I, Russell E. Fiore and his wife, Susan of South Windsor, CT, Allan J. Fiore and his wife, Jennifer of Merrimac, MA, Christine Serapiglia and her husband, Steven of Smithfield, daughter-in-law Patricia Burns-Fiore of Southboro MA. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren: Jessica and Ed Bilodeau; Benjamin and Christina Johns; Christopher Fiore; Matthew and Brittany Fiore; Andrew and Christine Fiore; Alyssa, Kaitie and Zachary Fiore; Samantha and Nick Fiore; Amanda and Laura Serapiglia. She was the mother of the late Michael Fiore, Jr and Steven Fiore and mother-in-law of the late Charles Johns.
She is also survived by her siblings: Joseph and Connie Godin of FL, Doris Dulude of FL, Annette Kelley of FL, Elaine Charbonneau of FL, and Francis Godin of RI.
