Amelia (DiCarlo) Prestigiovanni passed away suddenly at the Winchester Hospital. She was 71. Raised in Medford, Amelia grew up on Windsor Road, the daughter of the late Rocco J. and Isabella M. (DeMango) DiCarlo. Amelia lived her whole life in Medford and worked for 30 years with Medford Public Schools in food service. Throughout her life Amelia has been active in the community. Whether being involved in her children’s events and activities or being active in her parish and with the St. Francis Food Pantry, she was always there to serve with passion, generosity and friendship. Amelia was dedicated to her family. She was a great daughter, wife, mom, grandmother and sister. She loved to cook, bake and have her family around, especially her grandchildren. People always felt welcome in her presence and in her home. This special quality allowed her to touch many lives and make many lasting relationships. She will be deeply missed.

Amelia was the beloved wife of John Prestigiovanni. She was a loving mother to John Prestigiovanni Jr. and his wife Amy of Medford, Theresa Shano and her husband John of Medford and Anthony Prestigiovanni and his wife Emily of Gloucester. She was a loving Nana to Jeremy, Zachary, Jillian and Jared. Amelia was the dear sister of the late Patricia LoConte and her surviving husband Carl. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and is survived by many devoted relatives and friends.

Services for Amelia and burial at Oak Grove Cemetery will be held privately.
