Ruth Beucler
5/6/2020

Ruth (Cabral) Beucler passed away peacefully at her North Andover home on Wednesday night May 6th. She was 88. Born and raised in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Doris G. (Haley) Cabral. A Medford resident for over 50 years, she lived the past 10 in North Andover. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was also a delightful friend to many. While devoted to the care of her family, she also kept busy with work. For 25 years she generously worked delivering food to shut-ins with the meals on wheels program in Cambridge and Somerville. She enjoyed that work and the joy it brought to those who needed her help. For 20 years, Ruth operated a ceramics studio in the basement of her Princeton St. home in Medford. Her studio was a fun gathering place for women who spent their evenings sharing their creativity, stories of their families and building great friendships. She and her husband George, who passed away last month, loved traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Ruth loved her pet dogs she kept over the years, but was most happy spending time with her grandchildren and seeing them grow and mature to adulthood.

The beloved wife of the late George M. Beucler, she was a devoted mother to Denise Breen of Methuen, Susan DiGiovanni of Wilmington, Robin Volante of Wakefield, Mark G. Beucler and his wife Karen of Andover and the late Lesley Beucler, who passed at the age of 20 and is forever missed. Ruth was a loving grandmother to twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also leaves her brother Paul Cabral and his wife Roberta of Burlington.

Funeral services will be private. Ruth will be laid to rest at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
