Charles L. Juffre a life-long Medford resident and World War II veteran passed away peacefully at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. He was 98. Born at his Medford home, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Julia (Castelucci) Juffre. A graduate of Medford High School with the class of 1939, Charlie worked in the construction business all his of life. Charlie proudly served his nation in the Navy during World War II. He had the distinction of serving in both the Pacific and Atlantic theatres of operation. After the war he returned to construction, operating his own business which focused on roofing, siding and painting. Charlie was a good man. He lived in the same house he was born in, 98 years ago. He was a devoted husband to his beloved of 73 years. He was a good father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was devoted to his extended family and was the kind of friend you could always count on. He loved life and loved to be with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The beloved husband of Mary (Aloise) Juffre, with whom he shared 73 years of marriage, he was a devoted father to Charles Juffre of Medford and the late Stephen Juffre and his surviving wife Michelle. He was a loving grandfather to Christopher, Ariel and Laura and he was a loving great-grandfather to Taylor and Samantha. The last surviving sibling of eight brothers and sisters he is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery will be private.
