Frances (Barraco) Mangano, age 103, passed away on Monday, May 4, at Courtyard Nursing Care Center of Medford. Raised and educated in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Antoinette (Rubino) Barraco. Frances’ family moved to Somerville when she was 15, and spent the last 22 years of her life in Holbrook. Frances will be remembered as a quiet and very religious woman.

Frances was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Mangano and the devoted mother of Joseph Mangano and his wife Catherine of Stoneham, Annette O'Brien of Holbrook and her late husband William E. O’Brien, Jr., and Sandra Dell'Isola of Stoneham. She was the loving grandmother of Michelle Arevalo, Jean Marie Giacalone and her husband Frank, Joseph Mangano, Elizabeth A. O'Brien and her life partner Brian Donahue, William E.O'Brien, III and his wife Tina, Frances S. Nassar and her husband Khaled, Shawn M. O'Brien and his wife Regina, Rocco J. Dell'Isola and Nancy S. Dell'Isola. Frances is survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Bertolino and Joan Rodriguez, and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Frances’ name to a charity of One's choice.
