Louise M. Doherty, age 88, of Woburn, passed away peacefully May 4, 2020, at the Woburn Nursing Center after a lengthy fight with heart disease. Louise was born in Winchester, MA on June 28, 1931, the daughter of Neal E. and Mary A. (Connolly) Doherty. Louise was raised in Woburn, graduating from Woburn High School in 1948.

Louise enjoyed the single life and worked for many years in the advertising world. She was an avid fan of all Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. Treating her many nieces and nephews to Boston sporting events gave her great joy throughout the years. Louise had a love for all things Irish and greatly enjoyed the times she spent with family and friends during the holidays and on special occasions.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers Neal Doherty, Leonard Doherty, and her sisters Marion Reil and Marjorie Middleton.
She is survived by her brother Paul Doherty and his wife Marcia of Woburn, MA along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

In consideration of our current restrictions on gatherings and to preserve the health of others there will be no calling hours and a private graveside service will be held.
