Kristen M. Hirschfeld
4/26/2020

Kristen M. Hirschfeld, age 34, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her husband Adam by her side, on Sunday, April 26, 2020 after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer.
Kristen was born and raised in Salem, while attending school in Beverly. Kristen grew up in a large and loving family. She attended St. Mary’s School in Beverly before entering Beverly High School where she was a dedicated student and became a captain of both the football cheerleading squad and of the gymnastics team. Kristen continued cheerleading while attending Endicott College where she met many lifelong friends and earned her bachelor’s degree in 2007. Kristen recently earned her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Salem State University.
Kristen met her future husband Adam while they were students at Beverly High School class of 2003. They supported each other as friends through their athletic endeavors, not knowing they would reconnect with one another later in life. In 2012, Kristen and Adam fell deeply in love with one another, which began a loving and fun-filled engagement toward their marriage in 2016. Both were excited to begin a life and family together as they purchased their home later that same year, and welcomed their adoring daughter Abigail in April of 2017.
Kristen always enjoyed staying active. She loved taking ski trips, running road races, going for hikes and dancing. She also had a passion for working with children. As a Director at The Little Gym in Danvers and Woburn, she enthusiastically shared her knowledge of gymnastics with young children while promoting social and developmental skills. Kristen was driven to turn this passion into a career in education and excitedly secured a position in the Beverly School system, while also continuing to work part time at the Little Gym, attending night school and raising her daughter Abby. Kristen was a devoted teacher’s assistant at Ayer’s Ryal Side Elementary School in Beverly.
She will be remembered for the many wonderful gifts she brought to all those whose life she touched. Her radiant and everlasting smile will forever be a warm beacon of light for so many.

Along with her husband Adam and daughter Abigail, Kristen is survived by her father, FrankCappuccio of Salem, her sister Stephanie Lyons and husband Sean of Arizona, her maternal grandmother Nancy Haines of Marblehead, Father-in-law and Mother in-law Steve and Linda Hirschfeld, brothers-in-law Jordan and Ryan and his wife Marissa Hirschfeld, and sister in law, Stefany Hirschfeld along with several nieces, nephews, many loving aunts, uncles, friends and colleagues. She was predeceased by her mother Lianne Cappuccio who passed away in 2018.
