On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, Theodore Earl Cross (Teddy) father of two passed away at the young age of 62. Ted was born on October 25, 1957, in Winthrop, Ma, to John and Frances Cross. Ted was an intelligent and compassionate man with a great sense of humor. He lived for his two boys and would do anything for them. He had a deep passion for the ocean and spent his life on and around it. Ted loved exploring the world (in particular exotic islands) on cruise ships. He was a modern day renaissance man who could do anything. He was a musician, an artist, a chef, a sailor, and so much more. He loved to read and stay educated but never took himself too serious to enjoy video games, cartoons, or the latest marvel movie. Ted was married to Virginia Cross on October 17, 1981. Together they raised two sons, John and Jesse of Winthrop.
Ted is survived by his wife, Virginia Cross, two sons, John and Jesse, parents, John and Frances, three sisters, Pam, Aimee, and Julie, two granddaughters, Lana and Lilah, daughter in law, Cheryl Cross, and close friend, Laurie Acone.
In accordance with current CDC and Massachusetts guidelines, Funeral Service and burial in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section) will be private. Donations in his name can be made to the Boston Childrens Hospital Trust 401 Park Dr. Suite 602 Boston, MA. 02215.
