On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, Dory Ferry, passed away peacefully with her loving husband, Don, by her side.
Dory was born on March 29, 1931, in Litchfield Illinois and grew up in Highland Park, IL. She met her husband, Donald Riker Ferry, where they attended college at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. They married in Illinois in 1952 and moved to Newport, Rhode Island while Don served in the Navy. Following his honorable discharge, the moved to Short Hills, New Jersey. After Don retired, they moved permanently to their vacation home in Sea Girt New Jersey for the next 20 years. They eventually moved to Massachusetts in 2014 to be closer to family.
Dory will be remembered most for her vivacious, outgoing, fun-loving personality.
Dory is survived by her husband, Don, 2 children, Jennifer (Drew) and Thomas (Nancy), and 5 grandchildren, Madeleine, Olivia, Natalie, and Riker Ferry, and Samuel Fischer.
There will be memorial celebrations in Massachusetts and in New Jersey.
