Mrs. Edith Mae Parks Gentry, 89, of Broomfield, CO, passed away April 3, 2020 at her residence in Legend of Broomfield Assisted Living.

The daughter of the late Mary and Buford Patrick Parks, she was born in Morgan County, KY. She was the widow of the late Willis Nelson Gentry to whom she was married for sixty one years. Mr. Gentry passed away in 2017. She was a retired Hair dresser and cosmetologist.

She and her husband lived in Ohio from 1956 until 1981. From there they moved to Mississippi until 1981. They moved to Martinez, GA where they made their home until 2015. Due to declining health, they moved to Broomfield, CO to be closer to their family. They made themselves right at home making new friends and enjoyed meals with all the friends that they made there.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Walter (Bobby) Watson, her siblings, Juanita Malott and Josephine Harper. She was also preceded in death by her loving dog, Duke.

Survivors include her sons, Mark (Magida Gentry of Broomfield, CO and Randy (Mardy) of Knoxville, TN. Her grandchildren, Alec (Ellie Gonzalez) Gentry; Sean Gentry and his fiancee Emma Rose; Kevin (Jenna) Gentry; Cory (Katie) Gentry and Kyle (Nicole) Gentry. She is also survived by her great grand children, Penny Mae Gentry, Abby Seeley and Allie Seeley.

Mrs. Gentry was looking forward to the birth of another great grandchild in August.

Due to the National Health Emergency that we are now in, services will be private at Rose Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held for all friends and family at a later date and will be announced.
