Yvette V. (Lesieur) Dupuis

SOUTH HADLEY – Yvette V. (Lesieur) Dupuis, age 101, a longtime resident of South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, January 4, 2020. She passed into Eternal Life at Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on September 9, 1918, a beloved daughter of the late Louis and Eugenie (Fournier) Lesieur. She was raised in Holyoke, graduated in 1936 from Holyoke High School and lived in the city for many years. She later lived in Chicopee before moving to South Hadley around 1985. She previously worked as a file clerk at Mass Mutual Life Insurance in Springfield and later was employed as a clerk at the former Steiger’s Department Store at the Holyoke Mall and in downtown Springfield. She was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church in South Hadley where she was a member of the Saint Patrick Ladies Guild. Most of all, she loved her family and her many friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Earl J. Dupuis who was Called Home on July 14, 1965; and her dear sisters and brothers, Lea Brosseau, Laura Lesieur, Julia Katra, George Lesieur and Alfred Lesieur. She leaves her four loving daughters, Lorraine Rooney and her husband, William, of Ottawa, Canada, Rose-Marie Batts and her husband, Stephen Norris, of The Villages, FL, Jeanine Delongchamp and her husband, Steven, of Scituate, MA and Denise D. Havens and her husband, David, of Springfield; her five cherished grandchildren; her eight cherished great-grandchildren; and her dear nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family members. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Saint Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
