DOVER, DE ~ Mary R. (McKenna) Freeman, 101, of Dover, Delaware, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. She passed into Eternal Life at the Westminster Village Health Center in Dover surrounded by all of the memories that she loved and cherished. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on August 6, 1918, the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Scanlon) McKenna. She was raised and educated in Springfield and had worked at a telephone operator for the former New England Telephone, retiring in 1977. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Andrew J. Freeman who was Called Home on December 2, 1977. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Prayer Service on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Michael Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109 in Saint Elizabeth Section.
