Constance M. Lules, 86 of Salem, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the NSMC / Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas Lules, Jr. with whom she had shared 47 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Irene M. (Fraser) Fortin. A life long resident of Salem, Connie’s career with John Hancock Insurance Company spanned over 35 years. Following her retirement, she kept busy by working at Harbor Sweets of Salem. She was a member of Ste. Anne Parish and a faithful volunteer for many parish functions.
Connie and Tom enjoyed traveling, especially their many cruises to the Caribbean and through Europe. She also enjoyed her many excursions to Foxwoods with her sisters. Connie loved any time spent with her grandchildren, especially trips to her favorite restaurants and their family gatherings.
Connie is survived by her children, Greg Ramstine and wife Patti of Swampscott, Debbie Brennan and husband Bob Brennan of Peabody, her stepchildren, Claire Diamantides and husband Bill of Peabody, Thomas C. Lules of Peabody and Alison Lules Cuccio of Salem. She also leaves her grandchildren Justin Ramstine of Salem, Brad Brennan, Billy and Alyse Diamantides all of Peabody, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rita Caron, Gloria Ejmunds, Jeannette Wilson, Pauline Milan and her brother Ernest Fortin.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 9:00 AM, to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours are on Wednesday the 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
