Stephen Majeski, 61, a resident of Salem, passed away unexpectedly after collapsing while walking in Salem on Thursday, July 4, 2019.
Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of Dolores T. (Girard) Majeski of Long Island and the late William Majeski. Stephen was a graduate of Centereach High School, Class of 1976 and received his BS in computer science from Stony Brook University in New York in 1980. He moved to Boston in 1981 to work in Software Development for AVCO Research Labs in Everett, Digital Equipment Corp. / Compaq Computer and many other computer software companies throughout his career. He was an active member and volunteer for Ste. Anne Parish of Salem where he was a designer of the ongoing website as well as the tech advisor for the parish. Stephen was also an avid golfer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters Adelaide F. Majeski and Catherine A. Majeski both of Salem, his former wife Lucia Majeski Milite of Lowell, his sister Victoria Stevens and her husband John of Maryland, his niece and goddaughter Lisa Stevens of Maryland, his brother James Majeski and his wife Bridget LaRosa of Westport CT, and many relatives and dear friends. He will be missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 11:00 AM. There will be no visiting hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mentalhealthamerica.net
