Deborah J. “Debbie” (Gill) Anderson age 53 of Brockton died July 3, 2019 at Beth Israel /Deaconess Medical Center. Debbie was the loving mother of James M. Anderson and his wife Heidi of West Bridgewater and the late Nicole M. Anderson and wife of Daniel E. Anderson, formally of Brockton. She was a dear friend of Gus Rosa of Brockton and was the grandmother of Aubrey and Brianna Anderson and Michael Ivaldi, Jr. She was the sister of Dolores Gill of Bridgewater, Daniel Gill, Jr. of Bridgewater, Patricia Gill Godfrey and her husband Mark of Brewster and John Gill of East Bridgewater. Debbie is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Debbie was born and raised in Brockton and a daughter of the late Daniel P. and Dolores A. (Clifford) Gill and remained a lifelong resident of the city. She worked at Anton’s Cleaners for over 25 years and managed the Cobb’s Corner store for over 15 years.
In her free time, she loved to dance and listen to music. She also loved to travel, mainly to Cape Cod and the Caribbean. She adored animals, especially her dog Chucky and her pet rabbits. Debbie will be remembered as a hard worker and a great cook (she made the best lasagna around). She was a loving mother and cherished her grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Tuesday July 16, 2019 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 am followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery.
