Edward G. Rahaim, age 86, of Canton died June 9th at the Hellenic Nursing Home. He was born in Gardner, MA, previously lived in Quincy, MA and in 1967 moved to Canton where he lived until his death. He attended Quincy Public Schools and graduated from Northeastern University where he majored in Business Administration. After graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in Pensacola, FL and subsequently in Washington, DC. After his active tour of duty he completed 20 years of service in the Naval reserve and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He joined the then General Radio Company, later named GenRad, where he was a copywriter and ultimately became Manager of the Marketing Communications Department.
Beloved husband of Barbara E. (Flaherty). Father of Wayne Olson of Canton, Karen M. Barrows and her husband Robert of Sandwich, Pamela J. Olson of Orleans, Brian D. Olson and his wife Laura of Marshfield, Clifford P. Rahaim and his wife Rachel of Hopkinton. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Saturday morning at 10 am. Visiting hour prior to the service Saturday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Burial private.
