Obituary

Worcester: Norma V. (Broquist) Bradford, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves 3 sons-Donald D. Wickson (Barbara) of Winter Park, FL, Robert F. "Bobby" Bradford (Betty) of Petaluma, CA, Alan C. Bradford (Kelly) of Harwich, MA, and a daughter- Nancy J. Bradford (Paul) of Worcester; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased in 2002 by her husband of 55 years- Jean F. Bradford. She was predeceased by two brothers and 2 sisters.

Norma was born in Brattleborough, Vermont, daughter of Swedish immigrants Eric Emanuel and Esther Maria (Werme) Broquist. She graduated from Commerce High School and dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife and mother. She was a meticulous homemaker, up to Swedish standards! She was a member of the former Adams Square Baptist Church, Vasa's Nordic Lodge #611. She later attended Greendale Peoples Church.

She and Jean also enjoyed square dancing with the Triple C Squares. Summer weekends would find them in a campground close to the ocean, in Maine or Rhode Island. Initially with their children, then with their grandchildren. After Jean retired, they also did some traveling. Among many trips to Florida, California and Mexico, there was a memorable trip with close friends, Ingrid and Joe Rossetti, to Sweden in the early 1970's. Norma enjoyed the occasional casino trip, a weekly sewing circle and lunches out with "the girls".
