MILLS, Henry James, Jr. of West Roxbury, MA passed away after a short illness on April 25, 2019 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Mary Ellen (McCool) for 48 years and was the loving father of Melissa Garrahy and her husband Patrick of Mansfield, Timothy Mills and his wife Michelle (Loewen) of Readville, and Jennifer Alves and her husband William of Dedham. Brother of Elaine Mills of Quincy. Proud Papa of Emma, Daniel and Katie Garrahy, Kevin, Timothy and Owen Mills and Will, James and Colin Alves. Brother-in-law of Robert and Patricia McCool of New Hampshire and Florida, Ann and Frederick Sweeney of Roslindale and the late James McCool and his wife Bernadette of Plymouth. Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Retired from the MBTA after 31 years of service. Funeral from William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury on Tuesday April 30 at 9 AM with a funeral mass following at 10 AM at St. Theresa of Avila Church, 2078 Centre Street, West Roxbury. Visiting hours Monday, April 29th 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment to be private.
