Theresa Michelle (DeSisto) Fallon of Wilmington, April 2, 2019. Cherished wife for over 40 years of Richard B. Fallon, loving sister of Elizabeth DeSisto and Lucille DeSisto Walsh and her late husband Robert E. Walsh of Medford, devoted daughter of Josephine DeSisto and the late John DeSisto of Medford.
Theresa graduated from Matignon High School and Merrimack College with high honors. While in high school, she attended a summer program for advanced students at MIT. In college, she was the editor of the student newspaper.
While a teenager she engaged in political activism, volunteering for candidate campaigns and a movement to lower the voting age to 18. She enjoyed several hobbies, including cooking and sewing, and while a teenager started to exhibit her interest in business by selling homemade goods to a shop in Harvard Square. Later in life, she turned her passion for travel into a career by opening First Class Travel in North Reading, which she owned and operated for over 30 years. She specialized in travel to Disney World, which she and Richard visited over 150 times. They also traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and North America.
Theresa worked part time for several decades doing bookkeeping and taxes for the late Steve Sousa, CPA, of Woburn.
