Obituary

Albert G. Prosser passed from this life on April 9th after failing health issues for some time. He was employed at MIT for many years and retired in 1993. He then became a volunteer at the West Roxbury Veterans Assoc., a job which he loved and the people associated with it, accumulating over 30,000 plus volunteer hours. He was Grand Chief Marshall at the South Boston St. Patrick's Day parade in 1987. He leaves behind his two daughters, Jacqueline Prosser of Dedham and Ellen Tomassini and her husband Peter of Hull also his other son-in-law Mickey Jacobs of Weymouth and daughter-in-law Sandra Prosser of Holbrook. He is pre-deceased by his former wife Margaret Kelly, plus two sons; Albert "Buddy" Jr. and Michael, two daughters; Elizabeth, "Betty" and Jennette, "Jenny". He leaves two sisters; Joanne Rys and her husband Fred of Harwich and Linda Sears and her husband Ed of Attleboro, in addition to four other siblings that have passed; Dorothy Coombs, Barbara Miceli, Marjorie Killion and Shirley Bulger. Grandchildren include, Laura and Lisa Hamaty, Shawn Prosser and Kelly Ann Prosser. He also leaves three great-grandchildren, Asia, David, Mia and Jakob plus many nieces and nephews.
WW II Air Force Veteran of the Black Sheep Squadron, 49th Fighter Group in Japan. He loved his P52 Mustang Sweet Violet. He was a Crew Chief in the Air Force.


Visiting hour on Monday April 22, in The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury from 11:00 am to 12 noon. Burial with Military Honors will take place in The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 1:30 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
