Gregory Steven Lord, Sr. 64, of Concord, NH passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA on March 8, 2019.
Greg is survived by his partner Andrea Gates of Wakefield MA, his daughters with Diane (Bergeron) Lord, Stephanie Lord of Allenstown, NH, Courtney Lord and Tim Barrette of Antrim, NH and his granddaughter Mackenzie Lord of Allenstown, NH
A Veteran of the U.S Army during the Vietnam War, enlisting at the age of 17 serving his time honorably in Germany and various locations in the states.
Greg loved sports. A basketball player in high school, he loved watching the Boston Celtics. A football fan of the New England Patriots and he looked forward to the games against the Pittsburgh Steelers, his daughters’ favorite team, if for only the sports banter and competitive fun he had with them. One of his greatest passions was bodybuilding and fitness and continued his workouts through his final days and looked forward to watching wrestling Monday nights.
His favorite times were those outdoors, on ATV’s, fishing and spending time with his girls. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his warm and caring hugs and most of all his kind and loving heart.
A special thank you to the staff at the Bedford VA Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days. His laugh and strong spirit will be missed by many.
Services and interment will be held privately at a later date.
