Linda Taylor, 74, of Prosser, passed away at her home on February 25, 2019.
Linda was born on May 24, 1944 to Ranville and Margaret (Jennings) Hart in Mount Vernon, Washington where she was raised and educated. She met her future husband, Donald Lee Taylor on a blind date and the couple married on August 24, 1963 in Mount Vernon. They made their home in the Mount Vernon area until moving to Prosser in 1972. Linda was a professional cake decorator and used the money she made to put herself through college. She graduated from Columbia Basin College as a machinist. She worked at Hanford in the mailroom for two years before a machinist job became available. After several years, she retired after becoming disabled.

Linda was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and American Legion. In 1980, Don and Linda began taking in foster children and cared for many throughout the years. That endeavor led them to become actively involved in Boy Scout Leadership, 4H and FFA. Many projects included raising turkeys, chickens, geese, pigeons, cows, registered black sheep, pigs and a pony. Linda touched the lives on many and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Anne Margaret Taylor, George Lee Taylor and Doug Brown and his wife, Bonnie all of Prosser and Cherlyn Gagner of Sunnyside; sister, Martha White; and eleven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly forty-five years, Don Taylor who died on April 28, 2008; and brothers, Donald, Ross and Robert.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Prosser. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Tahoma National Cemetery. You may leave a message for the family at www.Prosserfuneralhome.com
