CHICOPEE ~ Francis J. “Frank” Meade III, 60, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. He entered into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on December 4, 1958, a beloved son of the late Francis J. Meade, Jr. who was Called Home on May 9, 1967 and the late Pearl M. (Coderre) Meade Bonville who was Called Home on September 8, 2014. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee schools and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. He furthered his education and received an Automotive and Diesel Mechanics Certificate from Porter and Chester Institute in Chicopee. He served his country in the Connecticut Army National Guard for five years and attained the rank of Private Second Class. He last worked as a heavy equipment and automotive mechanic for Chicopee Concrete. He leaves his four loving children, Amy L. Nava and her husband, Joaquin, of San Antonio, TX, Francis J. Meade IV and his wife, Monica, of the Village of Bondsville in Palmer, Jennifer M. Meade and her partner, Tim Villamaino, of Monson, and Charlie Flores and her husband, Brandon Washington, of Chicopee; his longtime partner, Cheryl Gayfield of Chicopee; his ten cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Jaden, Xavier, Sebastian and Dimitri Nava, Francis Meade V, Charles and Sophia Lorena Meade, Eris Jonah Vega and Mayla Medina; his four dear siblings, William A. Meade and his wife, Sherry, of Port Saint John, FL, Michelle P. Dube and her companion, Travis Campbell, of Chicopee, Eric M. Meade and his wife, Patty, of South Duxbury, VT and Guy C. Meade and his wife, Louise, of Chicopee; his dear step-siblings, Sharon Bonville and Jere Bonville, both of Old Orchard Beach, ME; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his two dear sisters, Lisa Marie Meade who was Called Home on November 30, 2001 and Debora N. “Deb” Hale who was Called Home on September 16, 2017; his dear step-father, Vernon E. Bonville who was Called Home on January 12, 1994; and his dear nephew, Joshua J. “Josh” Buffoni who was Called Home on August 7, 2014. His family will receive friends on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. followed by a 4 p.m. Celebration of Life Service at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
