Florence Gorny, at the amazing age of 90, passed away peacefully January 24th at her home in Canton surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City, NJ, and lived in Iselin, NJ, before moving to Canton 16 years ago with Eddie, the love of her life and husband of 65 years. They are both now together again in Heaven. Florence leaves behind her daughter, Teri Weber and her husband Bob; along with 3 wonderful Grandchildren: Tiffany and her husband Rob Giglio, Bryan Weber and Scott Weber. She also had 6 beautiful Great-granddaughters: Grace, Faith, and Hope Giglio and Cameron, Cali and Elle Weber. Florence loved to crochet and probably made over 1000 afghans in her lifetime. If you were lucky to get and afghan made by Florence, you were lucky enough. She loved life, loved to dance and sing by her player piano. Always giving, Florence was an anatomical gift donor and is now at Harvard Medical School. Her family teased her that maybe she didn’t finish 8th grade, but she was going to go to Harvard. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. As Bob’s sister Eileen said: Florie, the Jersey Girl, and Great-Nan of 6, is most likely dancing the Polka through the Gates of heaven into the arms of her Salty Sailor, Eddie. | |||||
