Obituary

Marc Pierre nicknamed "Boss Gaba/Gaby" was born on March 9, 1940 to Alteon and Occiana Virginia Desir Pierre, in Plaisance, Haiti. He was the last of 12 children. As a child, Marc was hardworking and responsible. These traits would help him secure a job as a sanitary inspector assistant by the age of 17. He completed his secondary studies at Chartard Community School. Unable to further this education, "Boss Gaba/Gabby & quot; would take up tailoring as a trade; he soon would have his first child, Roni. He left Plaisance and moved to Artibonite where he would spend almost decade. There he met Celila Louis and produced two children, Margarette and Frantz.
In 1978, he emigrated to the United States and settled in Boston where he was reunited with his brothers and sister and other family members. He would soon find work in the garment district working for Bianchi, and then The House of Priscilla, a garment firm that specialized in upscale wedding gowns. He was employed at the Federal Reserve when he was stricken with his stroke.
Marc met his wife Grace in Boston in 1978, they married in 1989. He was a loyal man, disciplined and loved his family. He had a passion for politics and was intrigued with human nature. He loved music and dancing; his favorite bands were Septentrional and Tropicana.
On January 2nd, 2002, Marc suffered a stroke from which he never fully recovered and set him on course of declining health. On January 30th, 2019, at 2:00 AM, Marc's pain and suffering were no more, he went home to be with his Lord and Saviour. Marc Pierre is survived by his lovely wife Grace, his sister Cepoudie, his three children Margarette, Roni, Frantz (Sherley), and his step daughters, Nanette, Sandra (Robert), Sharon and Beverly; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends too numerous to mention.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory with our Lord.

The family will receive visitors at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale on Friday February 8 from 7-9 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Spirit 525 River Street, Mattapan, Ma. on Saturday, February 9, at 9:30 AM. Burial will take place at Saint Michael Cemetery, Roslindale
