Obituary

Karen Marie Kluk, 69, a lifelong resident of Lawrence and resident of Salem, New Hampshire for the past two years, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence on Wednesday morning, January 30, 2019.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on July 6, 1949, she was the beloved daughter of the late Walter J. and Alice M. (Morin) Kluk. Karen was retired from Raytheon after a 40 year career as an Engineering Assistant. She also was a trained medic in the Army National Guard Reserves for several years.

In her spare time, Karen enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader. She was also a talented artist and especially loved to work with charcoal and pen and ink. As a former member of the Lawrence Rod and Gun Club, she also enjoyed trap shooting and target practice. Most especially, Karen enjoyed the companionship of the many pets she adopted throughout her life. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving sisters and brother; Christine S. and her husband Donald J. Zube of Salem, New Hampshire, Paula A. Kluk of Lawrence and Eric M. Kluk and his wife Camille Peters of Salem, New Hampshire and her nephew, Jarrett C. Zube and his wife Yomayra Yera Zube of Meriden, Connecticut.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Greystone Farms for their compassionate care of our sister for the past two years.

Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Monday, February 4, 2019, at noon. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 10 to noon.
