Obituary

Cannata, Deborah H. (Snow), age 75, suddenly on January 25th, 2019. Resided in West Barnstable, formerly of West Roxbury. Graduate of Roslindale High School, 1961. The focus of Debbie’s life and energy was always directed at enhancing the lives of others. Whether it be raising her three children, working as a server for many years at the old Tony's Italian Villa on Rte. 9 in Newton where the whole family was employed or patiently guiding students during the many years as a Food Service teacher at The Learning Prep School in West Newton. Debbie enjoyed a quiet retirement on Cape Cod where she enjoyed spending time tending to her gardens, appreciating the natural beauty of the area, feeding the birds, visiting thrift shops and volunteering at the local Barnstable library.

Predeceased by her parents Edith "Betty" (Brickley) and Paul L. Snow. Debbie will be greatly missed by her longtime companion Jim Dunne (also of West Barnstable and formerly of Newton) and her three children, Diane in Belmont, Paul and his wife Laura in Milton and Stephen and companion Barbara in Hyde Park and a brother David in Revere. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Anna, Caroline and Will.

Visiting hours will be at Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. in West Roxbury on Thursday Jan. 31st from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbie's name to the Sturgis Library 3090 Main St., Barnstable, MA 02630 or the MSPCA-Angell Cape Cod Adoption Center 1577 Falmouth Road, Centerville, MA 02632.
