BAXTER, Mary, age 88, of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 13, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Loving mother of Katherine and her partner Jonathan, Thomas and his spouse Nancy, John, and Mark and his spouse Ellen. Grandmother of Mark and James. Sister of Francis and his wife Catherine.
Mary was a life-long resident of Jamaica Plain. She attended Blessed Sacrament School and Jamaica Plain High School. She was a devoted employee of the VA Hospital in Jamaica Plain advocating for veterans.
Her passions in life were her family, ballroom dancing, reading mystery novels, the Red Sox, and her Catholic faith. She was a lover of life and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts and memories.
There will be prayer service and burial at the Holyhood Cemetery, Chestnut Hill, MA at the Fitzpatrick Chapel on Thursday, January 17th at 10am.
