TIVERTON – Ida J. (Frost) Cottreau, age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 at the Grand Islander Center, Middletown. Born in Argyle, Nova Scotia, She was the beloved wife of Joseph R. Cottreau and the daughter of the late David & Ethel (Hamilton) Frost. Prior to retiring, Ida worked for Michael’s Buss Co. as a bus monitor. She was a Girl Scout leader for 13 years, loved to visit Canada, gardening, and especially spending quality time with her loving grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters: Louise Marie Dias of Swansea and Jaime Beth Medeiros (husband Thomas) of Dighton; siblings: Elizabeth Moisan, Frances Bereza, Lillias Frost, Kathleen Frost Carson, James Frost, David “Bruce” Frost, and George Frost; grandchildren; Melanie and David Lawton, Tyler, Kyle, and Jennifer Medeiros, great grandson; Jake Medeiros and many nieces & nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Reede and Susan Nickerson.
Her funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday at 9:30 A.M. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Calling hours on Friday from 4-7 P.M.
