FALL RIVER – Irene Paulo, age 79, of Fall River, passed away peacefully surrounded by her devoted daughters on January 7, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis A. Paulo. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Alice (Carpenter) Rego.
Irene is survived by her daughters Gale Peckham (husband Michael) of Fall River, Brenda L. Travers of Fall River, Susan Faria (husband Manny) of Fall River, Darlene Martel (husband William) of Somerset, Rosemary Brodeur of Somerset and Lisa Ahaesy (husband Daniel) of Somerset; sister Linda Machado; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews, who she loved as her own children. She was predeceased by her son Frankie Paulo and sisters Inez Almeida, Pat Medeiros, Mary Morrow and Margaret Cordeiro.
