Gladys S. Cross, 95

Gladys S. Cross, age 95, a resident of Mansfield for over eighty years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 27, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. Cross who passed away in 2009. They were married for sixty-two years.
Gladys was the daughter of the late Norman H and Dorothy (Joy) Schofield of Mansfield and the sister of the late Robert Schofield of Sharon, Massachusetts.
Gladys was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy in Washington D.C. She also served as the Town of Mansfield Veterans Agent for twenty years until her retirement
Gladys loved spending time with her family and friends. She is also survived by her loving daughter Debra C. McKenna, son-in-law Scott Mc Kenna, and grandson Carlton McKenna of Coventry Rhode Island: and of the family of her late daughter Jacqueline C. Cullen: grandchildren Matthew Cullen, William Cullen (wife Caryn), Julia Bresette (husband Robert)
, and Catherine Davis (husband Kyle), all of the Madison, Wisconsin area and 10 great- grandchildren.
Gladys enjoyed bowling, golfing with her husband and friends, and watching tennis and football, especially the Patriots.
Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne Massachusetts will be private. Visiting hours have been omitted, and those Wishing may remember Gladys with a donation made to Sanctuary of Hope, Hagee Ministries, P.O. Box 1400, San Antonio, TX 78295-1400.
