CHICOPEE ~ Guy David Tremblay, 43, a longtime resident of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, December 22, 2018. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after being stricken at his home in Chicopee. He was born in Springfield on January 4, 1975, a beloved son of Denise F. (Spooner) Tremblay of Chicopee and the late Jean-Noel Pierre Tremblay who was Called Home on August 10, 2003. He was raised in Monson and returned to Chicopee in 1986 where he graduated in 1994 from Chicopee Comprehensive High School. He furthered his education and received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Technologies from Springfield Technical Community College in 2014. He was employed as a Manager of Operations for Compass One at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Guy was a huge Patriots fan and enjoyed camping, board games and playing touch football with his sons and nephews. A jokester at heart, Guy could always bring a smile and a good laugh to all his family and co-workers. Most of all, he truly enjoyed spending time with his family and going on family outings. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in East Longmeadow. Besides his beloved mother, he leaves his two loving sons, Seth M. Tremblay and Jaidyn N. Tremblay; his loving sister, Nathalie C. Pendrick and her husband, Gregory; his cherished niece and goddaughter, Meghan Pendrick; his two cherished nephews, Brian and Justin Pendrick; his soul mate, Lisa Tavernier and her two children, Carina and Mark; his former wife, Ardelle M. (Welvart) Tremblay; and his many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. His Funeral will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Burial will be private at a later date. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The funeral home parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
