William S. “Billy” Kostinden, Jr., 61, of Medford, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018. A longtime Medford resident, he was the son of William Kostinden and the late Margaret (Pappas) Kostinden. Billy worked in the produce business for over 40 years and his passion and hard work ethic began as a young man learning and working for his father and alongside his brother. He made it a life goal to follow in his father’s footstep as a business owner. There was nothing Billy valued more than working and providing for his family and he has passed this passion on to his daughters.

When not working, Billy enjoyed spending time at his sister Deborah’s house. While there he would play cards, watch sports with the family and most importantly, share with his father how the produce market was. Billy also cherished spending time with his life partner Josephine. You could always find her by his side helping and caring for him.

Billy was the beloved partner of Josephine McLaughlin of Lynn and the devoted father of Nicole Jones and her husband Steven of Malden, Devin Kostinden and her fiancé’ Jason Newton of Natick, Kate Larrabee and her husband Wayne of Raymond, NH, and step-father of Bernadine McLaughlin and Patrick McLaughlin, both of Boston. He was the loving grandfather of Larenze Dean, Steven Jones III, Lukas Larrabee, Shane Larrabee and Harper Rose McLaughlin. Billy was the dear brother of Maureen White and her partner Wilson Pye of Reading, Deborah Greenleaf and her husband David of Medford, and Stephen Kostinden of Revere. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, December 13 at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 4 through 7 PM. Interment will be private.
