Obituary

Glenn Richard Clark, 51, died Sunday, December 9th, 2018, after a courageous, yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (Cruz) Clark. They had been married for 21 years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of George R. Clark, Sr. of Smithfield and the late Lucy Ann (Carnevale) Clark. He had lived in Richmond for over 18 years previously living in Smithfield. He had most recently worked as the Chief Information Officer at Salve Regina University.

Glenn spent over 15 years serving on technical committees for OSHEAN, RI’s statewide education network that provides Internet Access to RI schools and non-profits. His vision and technical expertise helped OSHEAN in providing students and teachers throughout the state with access to worldwide educational resources. Glenn spent a lifetime devoted to mentoring and perfecting the Art of Leadership. He was exceptional at building strong relationships with people, both inside and outside of work. His single most important accomplishment was his beloved family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Serena M. Clark, Rachel L. Clark and Regan S. Clark all of Richmond, as well as his siblings, Steven R. Clark of Greenville, George R. Clark, Jr. and his wife, Charlene of Johnston, and Karen A. Clark of Greenville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 14th at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory made be made to his Children’s Scholarship Fund.
