Obituary

Charles J. Cillizza, 82 died peacefully on December 7, 2018 at Grace House in Windham, NH. He was born in New Britain, CT on September 23, 1936, a son of the late Charles and Pauline Cillizza. Charles Cillizza had been happily married to Audrey G. Cillizza for 60 years. Their marriage was admired very much by family and friends.

He is survived by his two sons, Steven Cillizza and his wife Valerie, and Ronald Cillizza; his grandchildren Lauren McVeigh and her husband Gavin; his grandson Bradford Cillizza; and his two beautiful great granddaughters, Julia McVeigh and Lila McVeigh. Charles was predeceased by his wife Audrey G. (Parkman) Cillizza on September 22, 2018, and his siblings, Robert Cillizza and Marie Cillizza. Charlie left his family and friends with many great memories to remember him by. He loved his family, enjoying so many fun and happy times with them. He also spent many years boating on Lake Winnipesaukee with Audrey.

Charles was a US Marine veteran. Also, a 58 year Mason member of the Friendship Lodge No. 33 in Southington, CT. Charlie’s career was a lifetime of sales and marketing in the Reinforced Concrete Pipe, and Precast Concrete Products Industry. He had many great friendships with the contractors he worked with. For years after retirement, many customers would ask about him, commenting how much they enjoyed working with him.

Following cremation, a calling hour was held on Wednesday, December 12th from 1-2pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A memorial service followed at 2:00pm in the funeral home. He will be buried in Forest Hill Cemetery with his beloved wife at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham MA 02452.
