Barbara J. Flaherty, 90 of Natick passed away peacefully November 18 at Newton Wellesley Alzheimer’s Care Center.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always had an open heart and an open house for anyone who needed her. She was at church every Sunday- but she always wore her Sunday best. She had a love for makeup- especially red lipstick and bold jewelry. Her love for shoes will be passed down through many generations to follow.
Barbara is predeceased by her first husband Frank P. Savilonis and her second husband James Flaherty. She is also predeceased by her siblings Oliver Murphy, Joseph Murphy, Helen McLaughlin, Phyllis Prince, Rosemond Murray and Jack Murphy. She is also predeceased by her son Joseph P. Savilonis and his wife Sherry.
She leaves behind two sons, Francis P. Savilonis of Natick and John O. Savilonis of Moultonborough NH, and a daughter Helenanne Berthiaume and her husband Robert L. of Shrewsbury. Two grand daughters Melissa A. Surette and her husband John of Topsfield and Amanda Berthiaume of Shrewsbury. Three great grandchildren Jacob Pimentel and Amelia and John Surette.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday, November 26th at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, followed by a funeral mass in St Linus’ Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment to in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Sunday, November 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of John Everett & Sons Funeral Home.
