Angela Acosta, of Medford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her love ones Friday, November 16th. She was 100. Born and raised in Habana, Cuba, she came to the United States many years ago. She was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Paula (Dueñas) Acosta.

Angela was a compassionate person who was always helping anyone in need either by comforting them with words of wisdom, a gentle smile, touch of a hand or a home cooked meal. Angela enjoyed writing poems and up to her final days she was reciting her own poems. She was a strong woman, a dedicated Christian, and believed in forgiving everyone. She was loved by many and she will be missed greatly.

Angela was the beloved wife of the late Alejandro Almeida. She was the devoted mother of Jackelyn Adams, and the late Jose Almeida. Mother in law of Georgina Almeida, wife of her late son, Jose Almeida The loving grandmother of Vasthi Cheddar and her husband Daniel, Ruben Almeida and Colleen Hennessey, and Evelyn Almeida and her husband Washington. Great-grandmother of Hayden and Brendan Almeida. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be celebrated at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, November 23rd at 6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 4 - 8 PM. Funeral procession from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, on Saturday, November 24th, at 12:30 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
